A ten-person design and CAD team sits at the front of every programme. They work in both directions: reproducing a reference exactly to specification, and developing original lines from a market brief.
Rich design experience means the team reads design intent quickly. Send a photo of a style your customers keep asking for, and the response is not "please clarify" — it is a 3D model with professional observations about what will and will not survive daily wear.
Every model is production-ready before it leaves the design stage. That means correct prong geometry for the stone size, wall thickness that survives polishing, and a shank profile that can actually be sized later by a jeweller in your market.
How design & cad actually works here
From reference to CAD
A style number, a photograph, a screenshot or a hand sketch is enough to start. The team builds a CAD model and returns a rendering for approval, usually within one to seven working days depending on complexity. Pavé-heavy and vintage-detailed pieces take the longer end; plain bands and simple solitaires the shorter.
From brief to collection (ODM)
When you have a market position rather than a drawing — a price band, a target customer, a season — the team develops the line. You approve at three gates: 3D rendering, physical sample, pre-production sample. Nothing goes to bulk on someone else’s assumption.
Design modification
Most reference-based requests need modification rather than reproduction: a different centre shape, a wider band, a hidden halo added, milgrain removed. Modification is standard work, not a surcharge conversation, and it is also how we keep your line distinct from the reference it started as.
Manufacturability review
Every model gets checked against the realities of the floor before it is quoted: stone seat depth, prong coverage, metal thickness at the thinnest point, and whether the piece can be re-sized after sale. A design that photographs well but fails at the bench costs everyone a production run.
What you receive
3D renderings for approval, and on request the CAD files themselves for your own archive. Your designs and files remain yours — we do not reuse client models for other accounts.
